Here's a tragic story. I hope it ends on a better note than it currently enjoys. When people take every legal step that they can and then have their wishes ignored...it's enough to make me chew nails and spit out tacks.

I finally managed to donate platelets. Now I know, give up on donating in the morning. I need to have more food in my system, ie I need to do it after lunch.

Wow, that was brave of you to donate platelets! How long does it take??? My Dad did that for me when I was undergoing cancer treatment.
It took about an hour and a half for the actual donation, plus half an hour to answer the questionnaire beforehand and another 15 minutes afterward in the canteen. The hardest part about donating platelets is they have to stick you twice; outgoing and incoming.
At my Red Cross, each donation bed has a little tv screen hooked up to a DVD player. I watched most of Blind Sided while I donated. Next time, I'll bring my own movie. It's such a bummer not to get to watch the entire movie when I haven't seen it before.
