Video of the day: Korean Freestyle Slalom roller blading; it starts slow but keep watching. Oh, sorry about the ads.

Site of the day: Hair Museum, in Independence, Missouri. This woman collects art & objects made or decorated with human hair.

tatting: I finished another bookmark or two. I also decided to include one that I made earlier. So now there are three red, white & blue bookmarks (2 different bookmark patterns), one variegated blue one & one multi-colored one. I have started a variegated red one, too.

dreams: I remember part of one from last night. We were vacationing at a beach resort, somewhere in the Caribbean. Coincidentally, someone that we know from RPGA was also there. We were hanging out & socializing when a wave of almost invisible spirits came sweeping through/past. Everyone could see them and gabbled, trying to figure out what it meant. Then someone looked out the window at where they had come from. Offhshore was this dark, looming, oncoming tornado. There were no cellars, so everyone huddled down together. We put towels and other things over our heads & backs to try & protect them from flying debris.

There was some delay. The storm just paused. It was still there but it was no longer oncoming, as everyone panicked and ran about. Someone got everybody to calm down & we started partying, singing & enjoying ourselves. Immediately the storm started advancing again. It was like it had some sentience & as long as we suffered, it was, not exactly satisfied. Perhaps, savoring?

It swept over us. The eye came over us exactly. It was very fast & I was surprised by how little it seemed to affect us. We weren't pulled up, we barely even swayed. We stayed in place as the eye quickly encompassed us & then passed. After the storm, we looked up and the place was trashed, but still standing.

books: I finished The Way to Glory at lunch. What shall I read next? Shall I re-read something, check my TBR pile or what?

tv: Chris made me watch the last 2 episodes of Coupling (season 3 episode 2 & 3, I think) last night; thank you BBC On Demand (last 4 shows, for free). It's the British version of Friends. Sort of. All I can say is that my utter lack of being able to breathe was all his fault. I was laughing so hard, I literally could not breathe. And since he insisted that I should watch those two episodes; it's all his fault. We started to watch Criminal Minds after that but I just wasn't up to it. I went off to bed & read before going to sleep.

clothes: same shoes, belt, watch & hematite band. Black jeans, paui shell pendant & ring, teal turtleneck (that has some faint purple overdyed splotches, ie laundry accident), multi-color scarf/shawl, & hair twisted up being held by my new hair clip (Bronze Jeweler). It's not a full bun, just a twist to kind of shorten the ponytail.

Phone: My mom called last night (I had left her a message on Tuesday about my cousin). We had a nice little conversation. She's going to get me a certified copy of my birth certificate so I can go ahead & get a passport. I do not actually need one, but it's handy to have.

I called Anitra to squeea at her about my genealogy treasure trove. She's the sort who'd understand my glee. And she did. She also told me about a bead show towards the end of the month.

Chris got home late last night. He was feeling pretty bummed. All in all, we didn't eat until almost 10 pm. We watched another episode of The Wild, Wild West (Criminal Minds was a repeat that we'd seen).

Plumber: Finally we have someone coming out to find the leak, tomorrow. So I have to hurry home from work to meet him/her. Hopefully, Saturday they'll be able to come by & actually fix the leak.

Of course, that means that the round zero that Chris will be playing in on Saturday will have to be at our house. So I have to get at least the dining room table cleared for that. I also have to get my stuff together for the church's street fair on Saturday. I think I know what I'm wearing at least. I think.

Gaming tonight: Mutants & Masterminds at David's. I'm driving myself so it's lucky that I have an energy drink to keep me awake.

Books: Finished re-reading The Viscount Who Loved Me & started the 3 book omnibus: Rogues' Reform.

letters: I have finished all but Leela's now. I'm going to go ahead & mail everyone else's even if hers isn't ready yet.

clothes: I had an outfit picked out, using one of my new tank tops. Too bad it turns out that it's itchy as all get out. So instead I'm wearing a black polo with my black slacks (with a white spot near the hem where I dripped sunblock this morning), black ~slippers, black belt (gold tone buckle), black stone ring, bloodstone ring, hematite ring, Celtic knot ring, thin silver chain bracelet, Celtic knot star/moon & tree pendant, knotwork earrings & hair up in a ponytail/bun.

Happy St. David's Day (UK): Presumably, he's an Anglican saint; I can't say that I've ever heard of him. And Happy Samil Independence Day (S. Korea).

Pout: I finished the last of my Jungle chocolate (w/ pineapple) today. It's sooo good.

website/article: 10 influential women you've never heard of

web slideshow: old cars

tv: I watched the first two episodes of Dresden Files, only 3 more and I'm caught up. Until tomorrow night when the 6th one airs. We also watched Criminal Minds, which had a female serial killer.

books: I finished re-readed Sex, Lies & Online Dating and I read volume 1 of Kitchen Princess manga. I've also started A Little Bit Wicked.

Radio shows: I'm up to episode 9 of the Voyage of the Scarlet Queen & we've finally met Kang, the guy who hired Capt Phil Carney.

clothes: dark teal blouse, black jeans (& belt), knee-highs & loafers with silver Celtic knot jewerly, plus ~rope band & fem-power band. Hair up in ponytail/bun & affixed with lighter teal hairsticks.

Another hot one, what a surprise. First thing, had a run to South Building. Too bad I had to detour, very much, to avoid construction. By the time I was done, I was soaked.

Today's outfit: black jeans, forest green Duchy of Geoff polo (Living Greyhawk thing; embroidered white letters around silver/black griffon shield), braided hair, black loafers, emerald pendant & earring set (2 of my very few pieces of gold jewelry).

Yesterday's shoes really tore up my heels. I wore, or tried to wear, bandaids to cover the raw spots with little success. I even went barefoot most of the day & that mildly helped.

Convention planning
I've almost finished preparing my characters in case they level at the con. Only Nadia is left, and I just need to pick a 4th level spell & two 5th level spells. I still need to plan what clothes I'm going to wear; shows my priorities, huh?

Problem?
I have a potential problem. My iPod isn't charging. This is bad. I have it plugged in, we'll see how it looks in the morning.

Car Update:
Hopefully, we'll know on Thursday. The company is paying for parts, Chris just has to pay for labor. His entire AC system has to be replaced. Once more, he's gotten a malfunction that has a bigger cost in parts than labor. We just need to see if the parts are available.

TV:
Watched Biography channel's show on Robin Williams. I did not know that he came from an afflucent, conservative family. The commercials mentioned that he's a gamer but nothing in the show did so.

Then it's Criminal Minds followed by CSI: NY. It's gotten late and it's time for me to go to bed.

My incipient headache has dimmed without medication this evening. It's still there, just subdued.
