Morning Music soundtrack: Here With Me (Dido), Second Nature (Clannad), Out of the Gene Pool (Jeff Foxworthy), Happy Now? (No Doubt), You Thought (The Go-Gos), Time Will Crawl, The Rum Tum Tugger,& ending with Deep in the Heart of Texas (Gene Autry).
books: I finished Wild Magic last night & brought More Than Honor to read today. I wasn't in the mood for the 3rd story so I finished it a little sooner than I expected (at lunch). Although I did entertain myself imagining a fictional occurrence in which Commander Leary from the RCN series, Emperor Roger McClintock, Admiral Honor Harrington & Imperial Auditor Lord Vorkosigan meet. Since the science of their various star travels are mutually incompatible, it's obviously impossible in any of the world settings.
computer games: I started a new game of Tradewinds 2 (warning, pop-up). I've unlocked one captain, I wonder how to unlock the other one.
tv: I started to watch Dr Who but I wasn't up to it. I really don't like the flashback-style of tv show. I then watched a little Perry Mason, then flipped around. I couldn't settle on anything & finally turned it off.
tatting: I finished the snowflake using the vintage thread. It's a little large (ie larger than a fingernail, even my thumbnail, for such a simple pattern) but it still looks pretty good. I need to clip the loose threads.
I spent some time downloading my camera's contents & then editing the pictures. I put a load of laundry into the machine but the jeans hadn't finished drying by the time I went to bed. That's what I get for having some jeans that demand 'tumble dry on low'. For supper, I had the other sweet potato that I bought at the dining hall farmer's market. I baked it much better this time. With my oven, an hour is better than 45 minutes.
clothes: navy loafers, socks & slacks; same watch & hematite band; light blue 2005 NCAA men's basketball champs polo; lapis bead earrings; lapis ring; blue stone & white bead necklace (still without pendant); & loose hair (thought about braiding but no time to find an elastic).

Pain! I screwed up my knee somehow. It's been hurting all morning. I've put a cold pack on it, taken pain killers, etc. Oh, and I have a headache. Wheeeee!
I tried to go meet Anitra yesterday to go to the Bead Show at the state fairgrounds. Unfortunately the highway to get there was one lane & my sense of direction is not good enough to figure out another route. Soooo, I came back home & called Anitra so she wouldn't worry when I didn't show.
Chris & I did some shopping in town. We finally found some of those stretchable book covers at Michael's. We weren't sure if they'd fit, so we bought one (on sale, $.50) and learned that yes it does.
Mike called yesterday & we talked for a little about the upcoming Greyhawk Ruins. He's a little worried because his group is a little short on the artillery side (no heavy duty archer & the sorcerer might not be a boom-type).
books: I re-read Second Sight, All Night Long, and the first book in the Immortals Series, Wild Magic. Chris loaned me Furies of Calderon & I stayed up late to finish it.
clothes: yesterday it was pink & burgundy spaghetti strap tank printed with elephants under open weave knit shirt, black jeans & belt, black socks & tennis shoes, hematite ring, black elastic holding a ponytail, triskele earrings & pendant, & Celtic knot ring.
Today it's navy loafers, blue jeans, dappled blue shirt printed with a wolf head, hematite ring, flower band, ~rope band, moonstone & quartz charms necklace, rainbow moonstone earrings & plaited hair.

Forgotten Realms: Rosemary ran her home game for the first time since November. I missed the last session or two so they had to recap. We didn't, quite, break the adventure. But we did change history (our characters are 12 years in the past, during the time the gods were booted out of the divine realms & were wandering amidst their worshippers). We are in Tantris, where Torm is about to fight Bane. Our paladin/cleric of Torm is disturbed by rumors (with some evidence) that people who don't worship Torm are disappearing. While staying at the temple, he, duh, prays. While his god is about 30 feet away. Gee, guess who answers. As a result, Torm spends the morning finding out the truth about these rumors. The high priest (& his cronies) who has wandered to LN instead of LG finds himself booted out of the church..by the god himself.
Rosemary found a way that our Torm paladin doesn't volunteer to serve as a divine power bar like the rest of the Torm faithful (backstory: Bane was coming, filled with power from the worshippers he'd gotten killed, Torm needed to match that power but wouldn't murder people to do it - instead he asked his followers to volunteer to power his avatar. They would die but it was voluntary. As part of it, he promised that he would not take their children & would make certain that they were protected. Our paladin was one of those children, both his parents died for Torm that day). It was a worry about how we would prevent our paladin from dying before his time...so to speak.
Note: velour skirt & nylon coat have issues. The lining of my coat kept riding up this morning.
toothache: my tooth & jaw hurts again this weekend. Not badly enough that I grabbed the heavy painkiller but enough that I looked for soft foods to eat.
forgetful me: I got halfway to the bus stop this morning & realized that I'd left my purse on the couch. I almost turned around to get it but realized that if I did, I'd miss the bus. As it was, I almost did. I had to run to catch it.
Books: I re?-read Scoundrel by Debra Dier. It's a decently good Regency with a different premise. Girl only wants to marry for love but after 5 years of Seasons, she figures it's going to take awhile. Meanwhile her sisters aren't allowed to have their Seasons until she gets married. So she fakes a whirlwind elopement & a fake (immediately returned to his troops) military husband. However, there's someone smuggling arms to the French (Napoleonic era, remember) using her father's shipping company. Her father is a suspect. So a government agent is sent to investigate & he takes the identity of her fake husband. She can't denounce him as a fake without a 'real' husband so she's stuck. There are some other, somewhat entertaining complications. While not a 'omg what an incredible book', it is a good, entertaining book with a nice mix of suspense & humor. I also re-read the first book in the Immortals series by Tamora Pierce, Wild Magic. It's a fave. I bought & read Terrier: Beka Cooper by the same author; it's her latest. I also read vol 1 of Ouran High School Host Club & vol 1 of Hibiki's Magic. There's another manga that I read this weekend but I don't remember which one.
clothes: This weekend I stuck to black t-shirts, jeans & tennis shoes. I also wore a large black, buttoned shirt over it, that whole layered, cool vs warm thing. Today, since it's so cold, I'm wearing my tall (black) boots, leggings, (brown, velour, broomstick) skirt, (fuschia) turtleneck & (dark teal blue) sweater. I braided my hair & I'm wearing celtic knotwork jewelry.
